For HVAC technicians

HVAC service calls and maintenance agreements, in one place.

Seasonal tune-ups, no-heat calls and installs all compete for the same technicians. TradePath HQ puts repeat maintenance on a schedule, bills it automatically, and keeps the dispatch board honest about who is free.

How it fits

A hvac day in TradePath HQ

  1. 01

    Maintenance on repeat

A repeating job keeps tune-up visits on the schedule, and a service plan raises the invoice on its own schedule.

  2. 02

    Fit in the urgent call

"Find a time" suggests up to three slots that respect shop hours and time off, and puts technicians with the required skills first.

  3. 03

    On the unit

Technicians follow your checklist, take photos, and a customer with an email address on file gets an "on the way" email with a link to follow the visit.

  4. 04

    Get paid

Invoice from the job, or let a plan charge the customer’s saved card when its invoice is raised.

What HVAC technicians use most

Service plans and repeat work

Repeating jobs that keep visits on the schedule, and service plans that bill on schedule, with optional card auto-charge.

  • Repeating jobs put visits on the schedule about a month ahead and keep topping them up.
  • Service plans raise an invoice on their own schedule and email it to the customer.
  • One plan can cover several properties, each with its own rate.

Scheduling and dispatch

A dispatch board with a lane for each worker, conflict warnings, and a map of the day.

  • A one-day dispatch board with a lane for every worker and an Unassigned lane for work nobody has yet.
  • Double-bookings and time off are flagged before you commit. You can still book anyway when you mean to.
  • A two-week "needs a person" list surfaces unassigned visits and visits whose assigned worker has time off.

Checklists, photos and notes

Visit checklists you design, with required questions and photo answers.

  • Build checklists with checkboxes, text, numbers, a pick-list and photo questions.
  • Questions can appear only when an earlier answer calls for them.
  • Mark a checklist as required before a worker can start, or complete, a visit in the crew app.

Quotes, invoices and payments

Quotes customers approve online, invoices they pay by card, and a clear view of what is owed.

  • Quotes are emailed with a link. When a customer approves, the job is created with the same lines.
  • Invoices are raised from the job and emailed with a secure link where the customer can view the bill and, once you connect Stripe, pay by card.
  • Card payments go to your own Stripe account. Cash, check and bank transfers are recorded by hand.

Questions

HVAC questions

More about plans and the trial on the pricing page.
Can I run maintenance agreements?

Yes. A service plan bills on a schedule you set, can cover several properties with their own rates, and can auto-charge a saved card. Pair it with a repeating job to keep the maintenance visits on the schedule.

What happens if a customer’s card is declined on a plan?

The invoice still goes out by email, and the email tells the customer the card on file did not go through so they can pay another way.

Does my crew need to install an app?

No. The crew app runs in the phone’s web browser. Each worker signs in and sees their own visits for the day.
