For appliance repair technicians

Repair calls, parts and payment, connected.

A repair is often two visits: diagnose, then come back with the part. TradePath HQ keeps both on one job, tracks the part, and gets the repair approved and paid.

How it fits

A appliance repair day in TradePath HQ

  1. 01

    Diagnose

The technician records notes and photos on the visit from their phone.

  2. 02

    Quote the repair

Send a quote the customer approves online. Approval creates the job for the return visit.

  3. 03

    Track the part

On Professional and Velocity, parts on each truck are tracked and parts used on a visit, scanned or picked, go onto the job.

  4. 04

    Collect payment

Invoice the job and let the customer pay by card from the link.

What appliance repair technicians use most

Quotes, invoices and payments

Quotes customers approve online, invoices they pay by card, and a clear view of what is owed.

  • Quotes are emailed with a link. When a customer approves, the job is created with the same lines.
  • Invoices are raised from the job and emailed with a secure link where the customer can view the bill and, once you connect Stripe, pay by card.
  • Card payments go to your own Stripe account. Cash, check and bank transfers are recorded by hand.

Inventory and truck stock

Professional and Velocity

Stock in the warehouse and on every truck, parts used on jobs, and truck restocking.

  • Stock levels by warehouse and by truck.
  • Record deliveries, moves between locations, shelf counts and corrections. Every change is kept in the history.
  • Crew record parts used on a visit, including by scanning a barcode, and the parts go onto the job.

Crew app in the phone’s browser

Each worker’s day on their phone, with one clear next step per visit. Nothing to install.

  • Each worker sees their own visits for the day, in order.
  • One button moves a visit along: start driving, arrived, complete. Each press is time-stamped and, when the phone shares its location, records where the worker was.
  • "Start driving" opens directions in the phone’s maps app and, if the customer has an email address on file, emails them a link to follow the visit.

Scheduling and dispatch

A dispatch board with a lane for each worker, conflict warnings, and a map of the day.

  • A one-day dispatch board with a lane for every worker and an Unassigned lane for work nobody has yet.
  • Double-bookings and time off are flagged before you commit. You can still book anyway when you mean to.
  • A two-week "needs a person" list surfaces unassigned visits and visits whose assigned worker has time off.

Questions

More about plans and the trial on the pricing page.
Can technicians scan parts?

On the Professional and Velocity plans, technicians can scan a part’s barcode with the phone’s camera to record it on the visit.

Can I see what stock is on each truck?

Yes, with inventory on Professional and Velocity: stock by warehouse and by truck, with every move kept in the history.

Does my crew need to install an app?

No. The crew app runs in the phone’s web browser. Each worker signs in and sees their own visits for the day.
